Dear valued customers,
If you have instances with HKBN, please pay attention to the following announcement.
I am very sorry to inform you, due to massive inbound DDoS attack to our HKBN lines recently, HKBN has terminated all of our services, contracts and rejected our request to access our datacenter. As a result, we can't recover any data from those servers.
To minimize the downtime, we have already reached to another Hong Kong local ISP to provide us another HKBN-optimized plan. We also set up new hardware to continue providing service to our customers.
For compensation, we now provide two options for our customers to choose from:
I. We create new instances instead of the old ones, extending all current billing cycles free for 2 months (60 days).
e.g., the next billing date 15/Aug/19 shifts to 15/Oct/19 after this operation.
II. We cancel all your affected service and refund the cost of the current billing cycle plus rest of the cycle days.
e.g., the next billing date 15/Aug/19 ($30.00), today is 30/Aug/19, and the refund will be $30.00 + $15.00 = $45.00.
Please advise, if you choose the option II, please open a ticket with the title starting with "[Refund Req Case #]" and set department to "Billing". All irrelevant tickets will not be processed.
We are sorry for any inconvenience incurred. When we have access to our machine in the future, we may provide data recovery service for free should you need.
We have closed all the tickets related with this issue which already opened, for the workload of our team member consideration.
